T. E. Lawrence to B. H. Liddell
Hart
119 Clarence Road
East Cowes
Isle of Wight
Friday, 19.V.33
I stayed only a few nights in Felixstowe. Then went to Hythe: then here
for two nights. Then to Nottingham and Manchester and returned this
afternoon to find your letter waiting.
I'm sorry: I had not realised that you wanted to come to Felixstowe to
see me: but I shall not be there for a long while now. My jobs lie in
Hythe and in Cowes, and I move between them.
There is rumour of my coming to London next week or the week following
for an afternoon conference. That would probably afford you time for us
to meet. Cowes is not very good: it means a voyage by ship as well as a
trip by train. Or do you fly down? I expect to be here for 3 weeks, at
least.
