Dear Kennington,
I sent
you a day ago four Dobson's, numbered 1. 2. 3. 4. They are all of
Colonel Joyce, and one of them (3) is his choice for himself.
I'm to
buy one: have paid for it out of C's. bounty. I like 2, the slighter
chalk, and 4, the rather too smooth pencil profile. Will you judge for
me, take the best drawing, and send the odd three back to Dobson.
It's a
case which I can't judge. They seem to me all very good... and very
like....
