T. E. Lawrence to R. D. Blumenfeld
11.7.20.
Dear Blumenfeld,
This is altogether too kind of you, and I feel rather
uncomfortable about it. It looks almost as though you thought there was
an obligation, which of course is very far from being the case. In those
short pushes the Daily Express achieved some things which I wanted very
much, and I am still therefore deeply in your debt. Unfortunately I
cannot pay my side of it with beautiful books - but please let me know
any time I can be of use to you. You have my addresses, 14 Barton St.
and All Souls, and I'm nearly always at one or other, and will be
delighted to come and see you.
Yours sincerely,
T. E. Lawrence
